Jesse Norman MP launches search for HR9’s favourite eatery

South Herefordshire MP Jesse Norman’s Discover Ross competition has entered its second round.

The MP is now asking people to nominate their favourite place to eat in Ross and the HR9 area. It can be a cafe, a restaurant, or a takeaway. In the first round of the competition, people nominated their favourite independent shop. The third and final round will do the same for local pubs.

Nominations for round two open on Wednesday 26 March and will be open until Tuesday 15 April.

Anyone can nominate, and there will be a prize for the best nomination in each category, as well as for the winners themselves. The competition has been designed to tie in with the run-up to the Ross May Fayre, where there will be a special winners’ presentation.

Speaking after his most recent visit to Ross, Jesse said: “the idea behind Discover Ross is to encourage local people and those farther afield to make the most of Ross’s many fantastic places to eat. We received some very creative nominations for the first round, and I’m sure we'll see the same here too.”

Nominations can be sent in to Jesse as below:
